Add or edit a trip

Enter trip basics

1. Open Add entry and choose Trip.
2. Enter the trip date, driver, truck, trailer, origin, and destination.
3. Enter local start and end times when they are part of your record.
4. Add cargo, bill of lading, reference number, shipper, and consignee when the professional view shows those fields.
5. Add public notes and private notes as needed.

Record odometer and distance

When start and end odometer readings use the same unit, the app can derive distance from the difference. For Trip entries, the ending odometer must be greater than the starting odometer unless you correct the readings.

Use a manual distance override only when the odometer difference is not the distance you want recorded, such as a reconstructed record or a known odometer issue. Keep distance units consistent because analytics do not silently combine kilometres and miles.

Edit an existing trip

1. Open My Road Entries and find the trip.
2. Choose Edit from the row action or detail page.
3. Correct the trip fields and update the repeating inspection, expense, maintenance, and document rows.
4. Save and return to the detail page to verify the complete record.

• Inspections, expenses, and maintenance rows are replaced by the current form contents when you save.
• Uploaded documents use a keep/add/delete flow so existing files are preserved unless you mark them for deletion.
• Duty-status event corrections are handled separately on Daily Log detail pages to preserve the append-only ledger.
