Use the Road dashboard

The dashboard gives a current operational snapshot for the selected Road Logbook. It summarizes saved entries and, in professional views, estimates Hours-of-Service from recorded duty-status periods.

Read the current summary

Dashboard cards summarize recent entries, distance, truck activity, and the latest records. Values are based on saved Road entries in the current logbook and current filters or view context.

Professional views may show informational HOS estimate cards. These are calculated from recorded duty-status periods and known rule constants, but they are not compliance determinations.

  • The U.S. FMCSA estimate models common 11-hour driving, 14-hour duty-window, 30-minute break, and 60/70-hour cycle concepts.
  • The Canadian CCMTA estimate models common South-of-60 daily and cycle concepts, including 13-hour driving and 14-hour on-duty limits.
  • Exemptions, adverse conditions, short-haul rules, North-of-60 rules, team driving, and carrier-specific policies are not fully modeled.

Use dashboard actions

  1. Confirm the selected Road Logbook and active view.
  2. Open Add entry for a new daily log or trip.
  3. Open My Road Entries to review or filter the full list.
  4. Open Analytics when you need trends, totals, and expense breakdowns.
  5. Open catalog pages when a truck, trailer, or location needs to be added before entry.

If something goes wrong

  • If HOS estimates are unavailable, confirm that the active view is FMCSA or CCMTA and that daily duty-status events have been recorded.
  • If the current duty period appears open, add the next duty-status event or correct the latest event from the daily log detail page.
  • If the dashboard shows no records, check that the correct Road Logbook is selected.
