Build the equipment catalog
Choose a category and enter a clear equipment name. Manufacturer, model, serial number, purchase date, last service date, and notes are optional. Cylinder items can also store volume and working pressure.
Serial numbers remain private and are not copied into guest-signature snapshots or dive equipment snapshots. Catalog service dates are documentary fields, not maintenance reminders or fitness decisions.
Build the contacts catalog
Save buddies, instructors, divemasters, guides, students, supervisors, boat captains, surface support, safety divers, and other team members. Name is required; email, agency, certification number, default role, and notes are optional.
Selecting a contact on a dive copies the relevant details at save time. Contact email and certification number are private and excluded from the guest-signature snapshot.
Record certifications and card files
Enter the certification name and, when available, agency, number, issue and expiration dates. More fields contains instructor details, dive center, recorded maximum training depth, verification URL, and notes.
Attach permitted images or PDF/document scans of certification cards when uploads are available. An expiration date is optional; the system does not assume that every certification expires.
Understand active and historical records
Deactivate catalog items that should no longer appear in normal selection. Reactivation restores them for future use.
An unused equipment item or contact can be deleted. When referenced by a dive, deletion becomes deactivation so the historical record remains traceable. Certification deletion also removes its stored card files after confirmation.
If something goes wrong
- If cylinder-specific fields are hidden, select Cylinder as the equipment category.
- If a card file cannot be added, check the upload plan, permitted file type, file limit, and size.
- If an item is deactivated instead of deleted, one or more dives still reference it; this is expected historical protection.
