Understand what Road records

Road entries are stored separately from flight, marine, and maintenance-experience records. A Road Logbook can use a U.S. FMCSA view, a Canadian CCMTA view, a European Union view, an AETR view, or a Recreational view. The selected view changes labels, available duty-status tools, HOS estimate cards, and export options; it does not create a separate database.

The professional views support daily records, trips, inspections, fuel and expense rows, repair and maintenance notes, attachments, and an append-only ELD-style duty-status event ledger. The Recreational view keeps ordinary trip recordkeeping while hiding professional cargo and ELD controls.

The module helps organize trucking records and create standards-aligned files, but it is not a certified Electronic Logging Device and does not replace current legal requirements from a regulator or carrier.

• Use the FMCSA view for U.S.-style driver records and U.S. ELD export/import.
• Use the CCMTA view for Canadian driver records and Canadian ELD Technical Standard 1.3 export/import.
• Use the European Union view for EU drivers' hours and working-time estimates.
• Use the AETR view for international road transport records under the AETR agreement.
• Use the Recreational view for personal truck, RV, camper, or non-commercial records where duty-status logging is not needed.

Start with reusable catalogs

Road entries can snapshot truck, trailer, driver, carrier, and location details. Save recurring trucks, trailers, and locations first so trips and daily logs remain consistent even if catalog details change later.

1. Create or select a Road Logbook from Logbooks.
2. Confirm the active view: FMCSA, CCMTA, European Union, AETR, or Recreational.
3. Add trucks and trailers that you use regularly.
4. Add frequent terminals, yards, customer sites, fuel stops, and border locations to My Road Locations.
5. Open Add entry when the base catalogs are ready.

Know the main workflow

• Use Dashboard for current summaries, HOS estimates in professional views, and recent Road activity.
• Use Add entry to create a Daily Log or Trip and to add inspections, fuel, repairs, maintenance, documents, and notes in one save.
• Use My Road Entries to search, filter, open, duplicate, edit, delete, and export entries.
• Use the detail page to review one entry, add or correct duty-status events for daily logs, and inspect attachments.
• Use Analytics to study totals, expenses, trucks, trailers, locations, and recent trends.
• Use ELD import/export only when the required driver, carrier, and event details are complete.
